*Please be aware that natural impurities may occasionally occur in our clay! Our clays are made with natural minerals, mined from the earth. In some rare cases, natural impurities, or ribbons of other minerals, are mixed in with the raw materials provided by our suppliers. This can lead to clays that don’t perform the way they are supposed to. If you have any questions about a particular clay body, please reach out to email@example.com.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERSAsk a Question
Hi, does the coarseness of the clay refer to grog? And is medium coarse good for larger projects ie large bowls etc?
The coarseness does refer to grog as well as the general coarseness of the clay materials used. The Sea Mix Brown has a 70 mesh sand, making it moderately coarse. The coarseness helps to prevent cracks from shrinkage, making it very good for larger projects, such as large bowls and sculptures.
