Cone 6: (1st image) Black Walnut is a dark brown soft matte glaze that breaks a rich warm brown.
Cone 10: (2nd image) Rich brown undertones come through.
TIP: The thinner the application, the lighter brown the color. The thicker the application, the darker the brown color. For a saturated opaque finish, apply 4+ coats. This glaze is high in manganese which allows it to combo well. Has a satin finish.
Stoneware matte glazes range from solid shades to those that create interesting color variations as they move and break. Application thickness is the key to making mattes work for you.
