Dry Bagged Clay

Dry bagged clay is a mixture of the raw materials needed to create a clay body, just bagged without water. Also known as pre-mixed clay, it allows the potter to control the clay’s composition and qualities and makes for easier transport. On the downside, it hasn’t been mixed in a professional pugmill, so the potter will need a good mixer, a pugger, and appropriate ventilation to properly mix dry bagged clay into a ready-to-use clay body.
