Cone 6: (2nd image) Base glaze darkens – crystals change to an opaque brown and produce a milky haze. Enhanced mobility. Surface issues may occur.

Is this glaze food safe?
No, this glaze is not food safe.

I am familiar with other glaze brands that have the crystals which during firing can become quite fluid. How concerned should I be about Mystic Jade running off a vertical piece, I.e. a mug onto the kiln shelf? TY in advance.
The Mystic Jade is fairly stable at lowfire temperatures and doesn't tend to run. However, when taken up to midrange temperatures, it becomes much more fluid.
