Cone 06: (1st image) Creates a transparent cracked surface and allows underlying designs to show through.
Cone 6: (2nd image) More defined crackle pattern – does not take ink/stain.
TIP: After firing, wipe an acrylic or ink over the ware and wipe off, allowing the ink to fill and highlight the cracks.
Classic Crackles are designed to “craze” or develop subtle surface cracks in the finished glaze to create a vintage or antiqued appeal.
