To use: wedge wet clay, work as preferred, and fire to ∆ 5. Use with mid-range glazes.

Is this red good for outdoor sculpture, freezing/thawing
Klamath red is a decent choice for outdoor sculpture because it is a stoneware. However, our Klamath line is decently absorbent and these clays won't hold up as well during the freeze/thaw cycle in rainy climates. I would suggest a pretty low absorbency clay such as Vashon gray, it should hold up longer.

Yes.

Can this be used for unfired projects Such as candle holders small pinch pots?
Hey, thanks for asking. Technically you can use Klamath red for unfired projects, however, it will remain in the greenware state. This means the clay is very fragile and and sill be dissolved with water. It is more ideal to use something like an air-dry clay for projects like these.

Is there any grout in this clay?
There isn't any grout in this clay.

I have trouble with the clay body bloating as kiln goes closer to cone 6 with the red brown clay. How does this preform?
We recommend firing this clay to cone 5 as it tends to bloat when at cone 6.
