Want to try a few of our premium clay bodies at once? Don't like commitment? Like to have choice? Our Medium-Fire Clay Sample Flight is for you! A potter's sampling of three of our premium stoneware clay bodies, it includes one five lb. block each of our Fool's Gold clay, Eclipse clay, and Vashon Buff clay. All three fire at cone 4 to 6, and give you a nice color selection to play with.
We like all three for throwing, handbuilding, dinnerware, jiggering/jollying, and pressing. Eclipse is also nice for tile making and sanitaryware.
Color: gold with speckles (Fool's Gold), buff/tan (Vashon Buff), dark gray/black (Eclipse) / texture: slightly smooth (< 5% grog) / Firmness: medium (Eclipse & Vashon Buff), medium-stiff (Fool's Gold)
