Sea Mix Speckled is the brainchild of our beloved SPS clay guru, Max, and it is a thing of beauty (it's so good we originally called it "Sea Max"). Sea Mix Speckled is a cheeky union of our super plastic Sea Mix 6 clay body and granular manganese. It throws and builds with all the qualities you'd expect from Sea Mix 6—but then brings maximum speckling to the party. You know, like confetti.
This premium cream-white throwing clay has a smooth, porcelain texture, and is simple and fun to throw and sculpt. It's ideal for wheel throwing, hand building, and functional ware.
We get excellent results with Seattle Pottery Supply glazes.
Due to an issue sourcing one of the raw materials for this clay, we only have a limited amount available while we re-formulate.
*Please be aware that natural impurities may occasionally occur in our clay! Our clays are made with natural minerals, mined from the earth. In some rare cases, natural impurities, or ribbons of other minerals, are mixed in with the raw materials provided by our suppliers.
