Product Description:

1 Pint

Flambé​ is a copper red glaze with tones of purple and blue, that gives the same results in oxidation as a traditional reduction copper glaze. Flambé breaks clear on edges or where thin.

Apply 3 coats, do not thin glaze.

Due to the powdered nature of the materials involved with the dry-mix dipping buckets of this product, their respective health information and labels differ from the brushing glazes.

  • What about layering a flux over flambe?

    Part of the joy of pottery and glazing is experimentation and seeing what happens. We haven't tried using a flux over this specific glaze, but it is sure to give interesting results! As with any flux layering, I would recommend making sure that the flux layered on top is applied only on the top 1/3 of the piece, as it is likely to cause the glaze to move, and until you know how much it'll move, you want to stay on the safe side to make sure your glaze doesn't run off your piece and onto your kiln shelves.
