Can these shelves be used for the top of the fire chamber/bottom of the ware chamber in an Olsen fast-fire wood kiln? What temperature are they rated to? Can they withstand the thermal shock of being at the top of the fire chamber?
Yes it should be okay to fire in an Olsen fast-fire kiln. The mullite shelves are rated to 1800 degrees Celsius. Looks like the max temp of the wood kiln you've got is around 1300 degrees Celsius.
