Olympic 23" Top-Loading Electric Pottery Kiln

This is a 23" diameter Olympic Electric Kiln.
The 18" deep (tall) model is similar to a SPS 234, and has 4 elements.
The 27" deep (tall) models are similar to SPS 236 and have 6 elements.

This kiln is excellent for ceramic pottery firing, 23" diameter is considered medium-sized and a great choice for anyone who needs to fire frequently, and doesn't want to wait to fill up a much larger 28" diameter kiln. Check out our Kiln Buying Guide.

Olympic Top-Loading Electric Kilns are cylindrical in shape, with multiple widths and depths. Choose either 18”, 23” or 28” wide and a range of depths from 18”, 22.5”, 27” or 31.5”. Models built with 2 ½” brick fire to cone 8 – 2300°F.

Stackable electric kilns are equipped with an electronic controller providing automatic programming for cone fire methods or ramp-hold firings, 8” stand, observation plugs, and instruction manuals. Olympic 23” and 28” wide models come equipped with a lid lift assist for easy opening and closing of the kiln lid.

Stackable electric models are built with the Olympic-proven electrical box design which has heat shields with top and bottom perforations to keep the electrical components cool, and balanced heating elements ensure even heating of the firing chamber under all firing conditions.

These models come equipped with a pilot light, metal stand, stainless steel jacket, and a Bartlett KilnStar digital controller.

18" deep models require a minimum 41 Amp breaker. 27" deep model requires a minimum 48 amp breaker. Both models require a NEMA 6-50 plug.
