Ferro Frit 3269 is a lead-free, high-alkali, low-calcia frit primarily used in ceramic glazes and clay bodies fired at cone 06–01. Its composition includes significant amounts of boron oxide (B₂O₃) and alumina (Al₂O₃), with minimal calcium oxide (CaO), making it suitable for producing glossy finishes and vibrant color responses in low-fire applications. Due to its high thermal expansion, it is also effective in creating crackle glazes when combined with approximately 10% kaolin. 

When handling Ferro Frit 3269, it's crucial to use appropriate personal protective equipment. Wear a dust mask or respirator, gloves, and safety glasses to minimize exposure to potential irritants. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and mouth.
