Our best all around multipurpose clay, LF06 White is great earthenware for hand-building and use on the wheel. Works well with bright low-fire glazes and underglazes and especially loves SPS pottery glazes! It's also extremely craze-resistant.
This is our top recommendation for elementary schools and for younger children as it is extremely workable.
Ideal for throwing, handbuilding, jiggering, pressing, and flowerpots. Also available with added sand and paper.
To use: wedge wet clay, work as preferred, and fire to ∆ 04. Use with low-fire glazes.
*Please be aware that natural impurities may occasionally occur in our clay! Our clays are made with natural minerals, mined from the earth. In some rare cases, natural impurities, or ribbons of other minerals, are mixed in with the raw materials provided by our suppliers. This can lead to clays that don’t perform the way they are supposed to. If you have any questions about a particular clay body, please reach out to info@seattlepotterysupply.com.
To use: wedge wet clay, work as preferred, and fire to ∆ 04. Use with low-fire glazes.

Is this clay suitable to make ollas that don’t have the classic terracotta color?
I would recommend using the terra cotta as it is stronger. -
What is the absorption percentage of LF06 fired to cone O4.? Thanks
This clay does not vitrify, therefore it would be 100% -
When it says fire to 04..is that bisque? What temp for glazes? Thank you
You can fire LF06 to a lower tempurature, say a cone 05-06 for bisque and then glaze at cone 04 as said in the description but it is personal preference. In house we fire at cone 05 for bisque, and again at cone 05 for lowfire glaze.
