The elements are pinned into a groove in the bricks.

Hi, I am reaching out to you as I am in the process of considering the installation of a home-based kiln for pottery projects. Can you pls share the details about the built-in safety features of your home-based kilns and any recommended precautions to minimize the risk of fire hazards during operation? Is it allowed to be installed in the Garage?
All of our kilns come with Bartlett V6CF controllers which automatically shut off the kiln in case of electrical issues.
We recommend that you have 10"-12" of clearance space on all sides of your kiln to allow for proper heat dispersal.
Kilns work great when installed in a garage! An important factor when deciding where to place a kiln is ventilation, and garages often have a lot of air flow. -
I have 2 questions about this kiln. 1: What is the KWH that it uses 2: Where can I read reviews from people who have purchased it?
Model 184 requires a 30 amp breaker, and will draw about 22 amps on average, at 240 volts.
Watts = 22 amps x 240 volts = 5280 Watts = 5.28kW
To get kWH you must multiply by a number of hours that the elements are actually on, not the total time for a firing. Remember that the controller is turningthe lements on and off to maintain the desired temperature.
For every 1 hour that the elements are actually on, academic energy consulption is 5.28kWH.
