Copper Carbonate (CuCO₃) is a greenish-blue powder used in ceramics primarily as a colorant in glazes and stains. It produces a range of greens and turquoise tones depending on glaze composition, firing temperature, and atmosphere, and can also act as a minor flux in small amounts.
Copper Carbonate is toxic if ingested or inhaled and can irritate skin and respiratory systems. Always wear gloves, a dust mask or respirator, and work in a well-ventilated area.
