Copper Oxide, Black (CuO) is a black copper oxide used in ceramics as a colorant and flux in glazes. It produces green, turquoise, and blue tones depending on the glaze composition and firing atmosphere, particularly in oxidation or reduction firings. It is commonly used in high-fire stoneware and porcelain glazes to achieve earthy and vibrant effects.
