Can clay additives like magnetite granular or mason stain be mixed with low fire clay?
Yes, they can be mixed with lowfire clay. Mason stains tend to stay fairly true to color, but additives such as granular magnetite will have very different effects at lowfire, midrange, and highfire. You can experiment with these dry ingredients, but I would recommend starting with small, individual pieces before making a large batch of anything.
