O-26 - Turquoise
SKU: 38634N Brand: Amaco
$24.50
1 Pint
Turquoise is an active, flowing low-fire glaze that breaks clear over texture and pools a soft cerulean where thick. Because of its tendency to break and expose the clay body beneath, this glaze looks stunning over 67-M (Sedona) and over textured ware that has been painted with underglaze.

Amaco packaging update!
You may notice some markings on Amaco labeling. These are temporary, as they transition to new labeling to ensure compliance with California labeling law. The new labeling does not mean anything has changed in the formulation of Amaco products.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
Hi, is turquoise 0-26 (and all opulesence glazes)bisque fired to 04 and glaze fired to 05 or 5? thanks much
This is a lowfire glaze that should be applied to already bisqued clay, and then fired to cone 06-04.

Can I have recommendations for glazes over black clay
It depends on what type of effect you are looking for. Clear glazes will show off the dark clay color, where are opaque glazes will cover the dark clay, but often will break over the edges, creating interesting effects. It's all about experimentation.
