Can you paint greenware with UGG 28 , let it dry , and then paint a glaze over the piece before firing it? Or, does it have to be painted on bisque? If painting on bisque, can I put the glaze over the paint and then fire it once? I am learning and know very little. Thank you.

You can paint underglaze on greenware. We recommend putting this through a bisque firing before you put glaze on it.
We only take this precaution because what you're referencing, called a once-fire, can be difficult to find success with. The firing/shrinkage rates of your clay/glazes can be different, once-firing can increase the chance that you will see cracking or glaze defects.
You can also paint underglaze on at bisque, wait for it to dry, and then paint glaze on it. Then you can send it into a glaze firing.
