Raku II casting slip is the slip version of our beloved Raku II clay body. High grog content creates strength for the thermal shock of Raku firing. It has a good release and is craze resistant.

Casting slip is a liquid clay slurry designed to be used in slip casting. Slip casting is a way to exactly reproduce ceramic pieces using a porous plaster mold. During the process, the casting slip is poured into the mold, left for a period of time, and then the excess slip is poured out of the mold. Once opened, the piece can be removed from the mold, and glazed and fired.
