Kaolin (Helmer) is a fine, white-firing kaolin used in clay bodies and porcelain blends to improve plasticity, whiteness, and workability. It also enhances glaze suspension and contributes to fired strength and durability.
Contains crystalline silica, which can be harmful if inhaled. Can be irritating if ingested. Always wear gloves, a dust mask or respirator, and work in a well-ventilated area. Do not ingest. Wash hands when done.

Is Helmer kaolin good for making engobe or slip?Seems you were out of other kaolin. I put an order in, depending on your reply, may have to change, that's why I'm calling so early. Looking for a expandable fine kaolin, to apply to leather hard vessels.
