Want to try a few of our premium clay bodies at once for a killer price? Don't like commitment? Our Premium Clay Flight is for you! A potter's sampling of four of our premium stoneware and porcelain clay bodies, it includes four twelve-pound blocks - one each of our Eclipse clay, Klamath Yellow Clay, Seattle Freeze Porcelain, and Sea Mix 6 clay. All four fire at cone 5, and give you a nice color selection to play with. We like all four for throwing, dinnerware, jiggering/jollying, and pressing. The stonewares are also great for hand building.

NOTE: Seattle Freeze can harden when stored. To return it to working consistency, wedge hard (we recommend throwing it on the floor with force), then wedge as normal. Do not add water! Watch the Icebreaker video.

FIRING RANGE: CONE 4 - 6 (2167-2232ºF) Best Results at CONE 5

Eclipse

Firing Color: darkest grey/black || Texture: Slightly smooth (< 5% grog)

Klamath Yellow

Firing Color: Red/Orange || Texture: Slightly Smooth (< 5% grog)

Seattle Freeze

Firing Color: White + translucent when thin || Texture: Buttery. Wedge hard to wake up this clay, we call it The Icebreaker. Watch the video.

Sea Mix 6

Firing Color: Oxidation: Off-White || Texture: Slightly Smooth (< 5% grog)
