Want to try a few of our porcelain clay bodies at once for a killer price? Don't like commitment? Our Porcelain Clay Flight is for you! A potter's sampling of four of our porcelain clay bodies, it includes four twelve-pound blocks - one each of our Awaji Porcelain, CKK6, Dove Porcelain, and Seattle Freeze. All four fire at cone 5. We like all four for throwing, dinnerware, jiggering/jollying, and pressing.

NOTE: Seattle Freeze can harden when stored. To return it to working consistency, wedge hard (we recommend throwing it on the floor with force), then wedge as normal. Do not add water! Watch the Icebreaker video.

Awaji Porcelain

Firing Color: White || Texture: Smooth

Fires and feels like a natural high fire porcelain. The excellent plasticity of the Awaji makes it versatile and usable for many types of projects, both on the wheel and off.

CKK6

Firing Color: White at ∆5 or 6 || Texture: Smooth

A midrange modified porcelain, CKK6 rides the line between porcelain and stoneware, meaning you get beautiful results with less finnicky-ness. Great for sculptural work or large wheel-thrown pieces. Fires white at cone 5 or 6. Available with added grog for structure.

Dove Porcelain

Firing Color: White || Texture: Smooth

A smooth, high-fire porcelain body with a soft, creamy feel on the wheel. It throws with an exceptionally smooth, marshmallow-like texture. Despite its soft, silky feel while working, Dove has the refined strength and fired character of a high-fire porcelain body.

Seattle Freeze

Firing Color: White + translucent when thin || Texture: Buttery. Wedge hard to wake up this clay, we call it The Icebreaker. Watch the video.
