Hawthorne Missouri Fireclay is a highly plastic, fine-grain clay used in stoneware and mid- to high-fire clay bodies. It contributes strength, workability, and a smooth texture to clay blends, making it ideal for throwing, hand-building, and casting applications.
Irritating if inhaled or ingested. Always wear gloves, a dust mask or respirator, and work in a well-ventilated area. Do not ingest. Wash hands when done.
*Please be aware that natural impurities may occasionally occur in our clay! Our clays are made with natural minerals, mined from the earth. In some rare cases, natural impurities, or ribbons of other minerals, are mixed in with the raw materials provided by our suppliers.
